Hello, I’m Tanya Read, founder of Read Studios, and I believe that great design starts with connection ~ to purpose, to energy, and to the people we’re here to serve.
I create holistic web design for conscious creatives, healers, and soul-led businesses who want to feel truly aligned with their online presence. My process is grounded, intuitive, and personal ~ because your brand isn’t just a business; it’s a reflection of who you are.
A Journey Through Creativity
My path into design began with a love of colour, flow, and storytelling. I’ve always been drawn to the space where creativity meets technology ~ where art becomes experience.
I studied Graphic Design, then earned a degree in Illustration, learning how to communicate visually and emotionally. I went on to deepen my knowledge through a web design course, and soon after landed an internship where I got my first taste of building real, expressive digital spaces ~ back when websites were still made in Flash!
In 2008, I founded Read Studios Web Design as a way to bring together my art, my intuition, and my passion for helping others create meaningful, magnetic online experiences.
My Approach to Holistic Web Design
To me, design isn’t just about pretty pages. It’s about energy, clarity, and alignment. That’s why I don’t use templates or one-size-fits-all solutions. I take the time to understand your story, your audience, and your unique vibe ~ then create something completely tailored to you.
From the first sketch to the final line of code, I pour intention into every detail. I combine soulful creativity with strategic thinking, blending design, branding, and SEO in a way that feels natural, grounded, and you.
Inspired by Life, Nature, and the Unconventional
While I live and breathe web design, my creativity is fuelled by a colourful life beyond the screen.
I’ve written and illustrated children’s books ~ weaving imagination and emotion into every page.
I once lived aboard a narrowboat, painting and travelling the canals of the UK, finding inspiration in slow living and changing landscapes.
I adore animals, colour, vintage textures, quiet mornings, and the magic of nature.
And I’ve recently relocated to France, where I now work from a peaceful rural setting ~ but thanks to digital tools and soulful connections, I collaborate with clients all over the world.
